Steps to being happier in 28 days:
1. Keep a diary of activities and interactions that make you happy...
2. Fake it till you make it -- put a smile on your face even if you are sad, depressed, blue and keep that smile there....
3. Create a diversion -- when you start to feel the blues, do something--play a song that uplifts you, take a walk, something...
4. Random act of kindness -- say something positive to a fellow poster on a forum, feed a stranger's parking meter, send someone a thank you note, or pay someone a compliment...
