Nobody wants to talk about Mike Holmgren spending two days in Cleveland talking to Randy Lerner?  Is it nothing more than a ploy to leverage Seattle or is it a reality that he wants to be GM of the Browns?

I certainly hope he comes in as GM only.  We don't need a new coach just yet.  He can take that next year if Mangoonie falters.

I got a text message a few minutes ago saying Holmgren signed. No details about whether it's GM and coach or just GM. That's supposed to come tomorrow.

Sign up for text messages directly from ClevelandBrowns.com.  Helps me keep up to date.

Holmgren is the Browns Team President and former President Mike Keenan is now CFO.  Details are still being worked out however.

This is good news!  Now maybe the Brownies can turn the corner and attract players and staff to make a REAL team.  After last night, I think even the Redskins are in worse shape than Cleveland right now.

Will it never end?!?

Cleveland Browns' Brady Quinn on IR for season

Anderson gets the start on Sunday against the Raiders, more than likely against Charlie Frye.  Man, we were on such a roll too!   :'(

I say let Cribbs start. We already know he can run and I'd wager that his passing percentage is as good as Anderson's this season!

I really hope Mangini gets another year. I see this team really turning around. Cribbs as QB--Hmmmm--other than Harrison who would he hand off to, besides I think he's more of a threat doing what he's been doing.

Latest from the Combine, from Sports Illustrated's Peter King:

I think Mike Holmgren looked and sounded like a man with a sense of urgency to pick a quarterback, put him under center, and let him play 16 games -- without the pressure of looking over his shoulder at the backup. "A quarterback needs two full seasons before you can judge him. What's Brady Quinn started? Twelve games? How can we know if he's the guy?'' Just from listening to him, it sounds like the Browns will give the job to Quinn, draft a passer sometime after the first round, and groom him in case Quinn's not The Man.
